Consultants provide expertise in strategy, operations, human resources, IT, and other areas to help companies achieve their goals and navigate complex challenges.

Types of Companies
Strategy Consulting Firms: Specialize in high-level strategic advice. Examples: McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Bain & Company.
Big Four Consulting Firms: Offer a wide range of consulting services, including strategy, operations, and IT. Examples: Deloitte, PwC, Ernst & Young (EY), KPMG.
Boutique Consulting Firms: Focus on specific industries or types of consulting. Examples: L.E.K. Consulting, Oliver Wyman.
IT/Technology Consulting Firms: Specialize in technology solutions and digital transformation. Examples: Accenture, Capgemini.
Further Education & Credentials Required
Bachelor’s Degree: Typically in business, economics, finance, or a related field.
Master’s Degree: An MBA is highly valued and often required for higher-level positions.
Entry Level Roles
Business Analyst or Consulting Analyst
Description: Conducts research, analyzes data, and supports project teams in developing solutions.
Skills Required: Analytical skills, problem-solving, proficiency in Excel.
Associate Consultant
Description: Works with senior consultants to deliver client projects, including data analysis and strategy development.
Skills Required: Strong communication, teamwork, analytical thinking.
